Re: 8.8 swap into TJ
They don't recommend one with the clayton long arm. I currently don't have one but not enough experience yet to have an opinion.

Re: Bumper Finishing Recomendations
Central Mass Powder Coating in Clinton does a great job as well. I had a tire carrier that had seen better days. They gave it a nice refresh and have great customer service. A little pricey but worth it.

Thanks All. Based on Kurts Diagram, it looks like the 1330 should be the right one. I will find out soon.

Re: U Joint
I ordered 5-1330x. It appears that the 1310x is for regular TJ smaller cap. I guess we will find out if the 5-1330x works, If not Ill try a 1310. Thanks.

U Joint
So I'm trying to replace my rear u joint (drive shaft to pinion) on an 04 rubicon with Tom woods double Cardon drive shaft. I have order spicer 5-212x and 5-793x and both have the same size caps. 1 set of caps are a little bigger then the other so straps won't work and not seated properly in pinion....

New TJ - Hope I didnt make a mistake
I stopped to check out a 2004 Rubicon and almost walked away because of some Rust and a 6 in long arm skyjacker. I couldn't let it sit there after talking him down more then 4k. Looks like I have a new project that could hit the trail. No more beating on the Grocery getter for now. I guess we will f...

Re: fluid change question
Thanks Kurt, i cleaned everthing of old fluid and RTV and put new lube locker gasket. I have a torque wrench to tighten ... videos I've watched say 30lbs. Is that whats recommended or just make sure they are pretty snug? Be careful going to 30 ft lbs, you will likely snap the bolts. It might possib...

I did see the rebate, thanks for pointing it out though. It's what sealed the deal for me.MDSRACING398 wrote:Warn has a rebate going on right now incase you didn't see it. Mail in takes forever but I got $100 bucks back on mine.

Harr In Worcester was good experience. They sell your trade as they buy it and will offer you cash for it even if you don't buy. They claim to have a haggle free zone and sales people work on quota vs commission.

Re: Winch Question
Thank you all for the input. I am the proud new owner of a WARN M8000 Steel cable. I figure I could upgrade to synthetic later if desired and the M8000 seems to tried and true for the most part. I appreciate the response from everyone.

Re: Winch Question
I think I'm going to add a 3rd. The Warn M8000, Its seems reasonably priced. Just a little concerned about the 8000lbs. Thanks Ralph, Thats what I like about the steel winch options.
