Re: Locker install
A few members here had awful luck with Mitchells. they threw away my lube locker and when I drained the fluid from my axle there was a lot of metal flakes in it despite being properly broken in. In the end the gearset and new locker were fine, but they have a shady past and don't stand by the work i...

Going to miss wheeling with you, my friend! Hopefully, I see you in a passenger seat or around the fire pit when this pandemic blows over.

Looking for a good condition stock front bumper. Located near Westford is preferable. Anyone got one kicking around they want to unload for cheap?

Re: Need advice on what Jeep to buy
The Cherokee is much larger than the patriot so if those are the only options I would go for one of those. Neither is really particularly good for offroading but if you are actually in the UK its not likely much a factor for you. I guess the question would be what you plan to do with it and how is t...

Re: Local wheeler and Detective John Songy...
this has been moved to June 6th and 7th due to the untimely passing of John. As Joe mentions above John and Joanne were avid wheelers and all-around good people. He will be missed. A local club is also doing a benefit run for John and his family; https://www.facebook.com/groups/491179807980386 So as...

Re: Stock or upgrade - Rubicon D44 front axle
On my TJ I spanked a number of Chromoly axles shafts. I was running a TJ rubicon and when you broke shafts they were hard to find. I was very happy when I went to RCVs and stopped breaking axle shafts. I have only heard of one person breaking RCVs (Marky ?) and they were replaced under warranty. I r...

Re: Local wheeler and Detective John Songy...
There was a 40-minute parade with hundreds of police cars, fire apparatus, motorcycles, Jeeps and other vehicles. Quite an impressive showing. He is doing a little better but is still on a ventilator and dialysis. Joanne is in full recovery mode but John is still in critical condition. https://www.y...

Re: Jeep shops in central MA
If you are looking for a regear Elias will be one of the costliest as they book by the hour instead of the job. I stopped using them a while ago as they wanted 300 to rotate and balance tires. I think when Mike White left Elias they stopped supporting the NEA. The work is really good but you pay a p...

Local wheeler and Detective John Songy...
I know a lot of the older club members know John Songy, he worked at Elias 4wd for a while and has been involved with the NEA for over a decade. He is a detective with the Rutland Police department and has been hospitalized for COVID-19 for about two weeks now. A fellow police officer is organizing ...
