Re: Brake lights, Blinkers and everything else. TIPM on JK.
So the update of my TIPM adventure saga continues. I received a re-manufactured TIPM yesterday. Disconnected the battery, hard reset the ECM and installed the TIPM and programmed it. Jeep started right up and all dash indicator lights out. Step on the brakes? Bummer! No different. At least I now I h...

Re: Offroading vs Overlanding
Sorry to hear about the TIPM headache. Keep me posted as trip dates come together (or don't). I may do a 4 or 5-day Maine trip in November and will let you know. Here's one of my favorite pictures from the weekend in Vermont. Still trying to figure this one out . . . https://ww0nhq.dm.files.1drv.co...

Re: Brake lights, Blinkers and everything else. TIPM on JK.
So I decided to purchase a rebuilt TIPM for now. Has a 1 year no questions asked warranty. I might send mine out for repair as well. The repair work to fix it and upgrade the internals is just over $200.
Fingers crossed!

Re: Offroading vs Overlanding
The Vermont Overlanding Birdwatching Safari was a great weekend. As the days went on, the sunshine got brighter, the fall colors got more vivid, the trail runs got more extreme, and the food, music, laughter and friendship around the campfire went later and later each night. And we even hit some tr...

Brake lights, Blinkers and everything else. TIPM on JK.
So.. Driving to work the other morning and a guy starts flagging me down. I pull over and he let's me know my brake lights are whacked and if I'm using my blinkers then they aren't working at all. I thanked him and carefully drove the rest ofthe way to work. At work I got a good look at what they we...

Re: Offroading vs Overlanding
Please keep me posted on this trip. If I can make the dates work, I'd love to join. I like the idea of starting in the White Mountains, maybe with a ceremonial drive up Mount Washington for some photos before the rigs get muddy. We could then do some primitive camping in the National Forest over th...

Re: Good quality gear storage. Atlas 46
Thanks - I should have mentioned this is my master list of ALL my gear. I find it helpful to keep a paper list of everything that has piled up in the garage, otherwise I forget it's there. Then I just pick and choose what to bring and how to pack it for any particular trip. At the Fall Crawl, I end...

Re: Spotted: Antique Willys Wagon
Awesome Jeep. It sure was a simpler time back then! I would love something that looks like that on the outside but underneath was a modern chassis and drivetrain. Air conditioning wouldn't be bad either...
