Re: Inspection Stations

The requirements are in 540 CMR 6.00. The Calc is WB x Track width / 2200 (safety factor) + 1" man tolerance.

That height increase includes both lift and tires together.

Re: Carrier and lockers

many people wheel stock rigs, and make small gradual changes and do just fine. yes, rigs have weak points, but you can’t get away from them all, and you can’t plan for them all. I'd love to get another YJ with just a 2" lift and 33" pizza cutters with trimming and just have fun. Miss thos...

Re: Custom Off-road Equipment Carrier

I'm also looking at getting a 48" Hi-Lift Jack and mounts for Axe and Shovel that mount high up on the roll Bar across the back (on the horizontal bar near the hard top, up out of view). that and the extinguisher mount will probably be some of the last gear mods I do, until I build a box for t...

Re: Wheel w/ lift

BTW, not to scare you guys, but everything posted in the public forum is monitored by the state. Not that I think they are going to go after spacer users from a web forum, but they monitor site for illegal trail use. I did a lot of work trying to save a certain trail from overuse and eventual closur...

Re: Wheel w/ lift

Your going to start an argument! Lol. There's no argument. It's listed pretty plainly 540CMR6.04(3) Even if it was legal, there is so much stress in that area. It's not like slapping spacers on a 2200 lb Willys. It's a 5000lb pig. This is an expensive sport. I don't see an issue in buying new rims ...

Re: Head Gasket?

You can have the oil tested for coolant by Blackstone Labs. Look them up. They will send you the sample kits to send back to them for testing. Motor oil appearance usually doesn't mean squat. It needs to be tested. That said, there aren't many engine head gasket jobs that are easier than a Jeep 2.5/...
